What Would You Do If You Were the Mayor of Atlanta? Why?

An original Crimeout.org & 247townhall.org series featuring Atlanta's top community leaders, celebrities and YOU!

Think about the issues that affect you and your community the most: violence, education, poverty and then speak you mind-- create and post you're own If I Were Mayor ATL video on 247Townhall.org for a chance to win a free Flip camcorder and a $1000 Scholarship, a Mini Flip Cam Recorder, and a formal, issue-based meeting with Atlanta's next mayor.

CONTESTANTS MUST ENTER THE WORDS: “IF I WERE MAYOR ATL”followed by “FIRST NAME”, “LAST INITIAL”, and “DATE” (i.e., If I WerePresident – Mike S. 06/09/08) into the TITLE field to be considered official and valid.

IF I WERE MAYOR CONTEST
HOW TO ENTER

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To be eligible, each participant must register, create and submit their If I Were President video on www.247townhall.org. Participants may submit their entry beginning October 1, 2009 12:01 a.m. EST.  Contest ends 11:59 p.m. EST October 15, 2009. All entries shall become the property of One Economy & CrimeOut. One Economy & CrimeOut are not responsible for lost, misdirected or delayed entries. Entries received by telephone, fax, courier or personal delivery will not be accepted. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.

IMPORTANT- CONTESTANTS MUST ENTER THE WORDS:
“IF I WERE MAYOR ATL” followed by “FIRST NAME”, “LAST INITIAL”, and “DATE” (i.e., If I Were President – Mike S. 06/09/08) into the TITLE field to be considered official and valid.
You will automatically be entered to win these prizes:
•    Finalists Prize: the 50 top finalists will each receive One Flip Ultra Camera, worth up to $150.00 US.
The top 50 most popular videos will be selected and announced no later than October 16, 2009.
Winners will be contacted at the email address they provide during the account sign-up process. Their names will also be published on 247townhall.org.

CONTEST RULES:
1. The contest is open to City of Atlanta residents.  Employees of One Economy Corporation, its contest partners, and immediate family members and person with whom such employees are domiciled are excluded from this contest.

2. The prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded.

3. Decisions of the contest judges are final - no substitutions will be available.

4. Chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

5. One Economy and CrimeOut are not responsible for and will not consider incomplete or incorrect entries, or entries not received via the website for any reason, as potential contest winners.

6. Unless otherwise specified in an individual contest post, no person may enter any contest more than once using multiple email addresses.

7. Claiming of prizes requires an email response to ifiweremayor@gmail.com from winning sender within 30 days of being notified of winning.  Failure to respond shall mean that the winner forfeits the prize.  One Economy and CrimeOut are not required to award elsewhere any prizes forfeited by the chosen winner.

8. By claiming the prize, the winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation, of his or her name and/or likeness and/or voice/photograph and municipality of residence for promotion and/or advertising purposes in any manner and in any medium (including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in television or film releases, slides, videotape, distribution over the Internet and picture date storage) which One Economy may deem appropriate.

9. In accepting the prize, the winner, and any guest(s), acknowledges that One Economy and CrimeOut may not be held liable for any loss, damages, or injury associated with accepting or using this prize(s).

10. The person(s) who name(s) is drawn as being the winner(s) of the specific prize will be required to answer a skill-testing question before the prize is awarded to them.

11. Detailed contest rules applicable to this contest, including contest entry dates, how to enter, and prize value, number and any restrictions applicable to these prizes are available upon request from One Economy/Contest, mirving@one-economy.com.

12. Winner and any guests at the age of majority must sign a release form as prepared and accepted by One Economy acknowledging their acceptance and understanding of the complete contest rules.

13. One Economy retains the rights, in its absolute and sole discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent king or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of any prize or component of the prize for any reason whatsoever.

14. This contest is subject to all federal, state, and municipal laws.

15. One Economy reserves the right to withdraw or terminate this contest at any time without prior notice.

16. Approximate values of prizes may vary.

17. Income and other taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of winner.  Void where prohibited.  Income and other taxes are also subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations.

18. Only one entry per person.

19. Pure Digital is by no means affiliated with this contest, One Economy, or CrimeOUT.

In most contemporary educational web design systems of the world, secondary education consists of the second years of formal education that occur during adolescence.[citation needed] It is characterized by domain names transition from the typically compulsory, comprehensive primary education for minors, to the optional, selective tertiary, "post-secondary", or "higher" education (e.g., university, vocational school) for adults.[citation needed] Depending on the system, schools for this period, or a part of it, may be called secondary or high schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, middle schools, colleges, or vocational schools. The exact meaning of any of these terms varies high speed internet service from one system to another. The exact boundary between primary and secondary education also varies from country to country and even within them, but is generally around the seventh to the tenth year of schooling. Secondary education occurs mainly during the teenage years. In the United States and Canada primary and secondary education together are sometimes referred to as K-12 education, and in New Zealand Year 1-13 is used. The purpose of secondary education can be to give common knowledge, to prepare for web development higher education or to train directly in a profession.

The emergence of secondary internet marketing education in the United States did not happen until 1910, caused by the rise in big businesses and technological advances in factories (i.e. emergence of electrification), that required skilled workers. In order to meet this new job demand, high schools were created web design and the curriculum focused on practical job skills that would better prepare students for white collar or skilled blue collar work. This proved to be beneficial for both the employer and the employee, because this improvement in human capital caused employees to become more efficient, which lowered costs for the employer wireless internet, and skilled employees received a higher wage than employees with just primary educational dedicated server attainment.
