What an incredible video! I love how George infuses real issues with the art of poetry and spoken word. And it also seems like San Francisco gets a voice too here as we see the various members and meet several key community members.
Looking forward to the show. Will there be guests from all the arts: dance, music, sculptures, painters, etc? I like George's style because he seems like he can stradle the line between being an artist and being real.
Interested to see more from George and Youth Speaks.
I have always loved poetry slams--they are such a powerful and engaging way to voice an opinion. George Watsky seems to really have a gift, and this first video was great. I'm looking forward to seeing the upcoming episodes!

this is a great introduction to the show. it definitely left me wanting more! i would love to watch an entire open mic session on this site since i don't get a chance to go to many in person.

We have open mic here in DC at a cafe called "busboys and poets" and it is always very inspiring to hear so much talent.
It's really inspiring to see someone so young think critically about an issue, and also express their feelings through a medium that can reach people who would not normally care about issues such as sustainability and environmentalism.
